Verbier 3-D Foundation Artist Residency + Sculpture Park

Exhibition information:

The Verbier 3-D Foundation at the heart of the Swiss Alps is a charitable cultural organization which, with its artist residency and sculpture park, is dedicated to promoting contemporary art, protecting the environment and to education.

Founded in 2010 by New York-based artist Madeleine Paternot and Verbier-based artist Kiki Thompson, this pioneering organization has created an experimental, educational artist residency and sculpture park at 2,300 metres above sea level, inspired by the stunning Alpine landscape of Verbier in Switzerland. Over the past 10 years, the foundation has supported over 32 Swiss and international artists by offering a research-guided residency that takes artists out of their comfort zone and encourages them to come up with and create new work that might not be possible in the studio. The idea behind it all is to get out of the studio and into nature, to research, to work together, to think, to act, to create and to communicate.
