The Estate

The Estate is a young, transdisciplinary art venue in the Misox region that has been attracting increasing regional and international attention since it was founded in 2023.
Our project combines contemporary art production, retreats and research trips, as well as cultural participation in a rural area. The attached ABC overview describes The Estate’s self-perception: a place in transition, open to different generations, languages, territories and artistic approaches.
The programme is complemented by the ongoing retreat in neighbouring Rustico, which offers artists, authors and researchers an unbureaucratic workplace that allows for optimal concentration.

Programme and special projects
We would in particular like to highlight the work planned for autumn 2026 by Lex Trüb. Trüb, known for over two decades as an internationally active graphic designer, is creating a site-specific floor sculpture at The Estate for the first time, based on historical Alpine technology.
A new publication by PROVENCE is planned for 2026, to be co-published by The Estate. The publication is less a supporting medium and more an independent artistic-editorial space circulating internationally from Mesocco, making visible the link between the rural place of work and global discourse.
