Exhibition information:
The Verbier 3-D Foundation is a charitable cultural organization which is dedicated to promoting contemporary art, protecting the environment and educating through its artist residency and sculpture park.
Founded in 2010 by New York-based artist Madeleine Paternot and Verbier-based artist Kiki Thompson, this pioneering organization has established an experimental artist residency and sculpture park at 2,300 meters above sea level, drawing inspiration from the breathtaking Alpine landscape of Verbier, Switzerland. Each year, residency artists collaborate with curator Alexa Jeanne Kusber, engaging in research and dialogue to explore local environmental issues, fostering a deeper connection to the region while creating work with both local and global significance.
This year’s residency artist, Cannupa Hanska Luger, will examine the intersections between Indigenous knowledge systems and the Swiss Alps, engaging with the landscape and local community to spark a dynamic conversation between past, present, and future.
