Passage – Art on the Gemmi Pass

Exhibition information:

The SAC art exhibition, “Passage – Art on the Gemmi Pass”, invites visitors to follow an inspiring art trail over the Gemmi Pass between 6 July and 12 October. Along the way, visitors will find 13 pieces of art that encourage them to engage with their surroundings, reflect and experience the art with all their senses. These pieces creatively engage with the surrounding nature, tourism, and the historical significance of the Gemmi Pass as an Alpine transit route. A wide range of working methods are employed, including performative formats. The focus is on “passing through” from the Lämmerenhütte SAC to Daubensee, the Berghotel Schwarenbach to Spittelmatte, and the Sunnbüel mountain station. The relationship between humans and nature in times of climate crisis is vividly explored. Visitors can also look forward to an attractive programme of supporting activities, including guided tours and lectures, during the three-month exhibition.
