Back to the Roots

Exhibition information:

For the 25th anniversary of the Kulturort Weiertal cultural center (launched on 1 May 2001), artists were invited to develop works on the theme “Back to the Roots”. The objects, installations and video works are on show in the small park in the context of their natural surroundings and were re-conceptualized specifically for the location. The exhibition questions our relationship to our roots, which symbolize origins, identity and connections to our past. They give us support and stability, fulfilling our need for security and connection. Reconsideration means searching for our origins, for the essence of life.

The artistic works invite us to reflect on our own existence and our connection to nature. The artists provide answers through their works and suggest further questions.
