Exhibition information:
“What if?” is more than just a rhetorical question. This question can inspire us to actively shape the future rather than simply react to it. It invites us to think about different futures and possible scenarios and to find ways to build a world that is sustainable and fit for the future.
The exhibition brings together 13 art projects about a world in transition: between hope and dystopia, transformation, speculation and aspiration for the future. It shares ideas and observations at a time of multiple crises, fears and uncertainties that at first do not really point to a bright future. But such a future is possible if we imagine what could be, rather than limit ourselves to what is. It then becomes a powerful tool for fostering creativity and innovation and for embracing the hope of a better tomorrow.
These “voices from the future” are not predictions, but expressions of dreams and ambitions. They are the ideas and thoughts of visionary people who ask: “What if we could create a different and better world?” They challenge us to use our intellect and creativity to forge a liveable and sustainable future for all. They inspire each and every one of us to take responsibility and play an active role in shaping the future.
