Exhibition information:
The Alt+1000 festival was founded in 2008 in the Swiss town of Rossinière and has since been held in a landscape at an altitude of a thousand metres. After four editions in Rossinière, Alt+1000 moved to the canton of Neuchâtel in 2019.
As a biennial event, Alt+1000 sees itself as a place for observing and reflecting on the landscape through photography exhibitions, artist residencies and institutional collaboration. The exhibited photographic works deal with the concept of landscape in the broadest sense and reveal the complex economic, political, territorial, sociological and emotional relationships that shape it. After the first three editions of Alt+1000 in the Vallée de La Brévine (2019, 2021, 2023), the festival is moving to the Vallée de La Vue-des-Alpes in 2025.
